Adventures in Baby Traveling

We took Eddie to Alexandria a few weeks ago to visit his two aunts, two uncles and two cousins. It was the first time we had stayed in a hotel with him. I was nervous. Matt always wants to go on trips, and just thinking about taking trips with a baby gives me the sweats. But it went surprisingly well. It turns out, the hotel is significantly more baby-proofed than our house.

Nap time was a little difficult to navigate. Since one of us had to stay in the room, yet be completely silent for the duration of the 1-2 hour nap. I ended up napping a lot too. This is the first time that whole “sleep when the baby sleeps” bullshit has worked out for me.

Also, since we were only there Friday night through Sunday afternoon, we didn’t get to do a whole lot. It was hard to coordinate activities with Eddie’s aggressive napping schedule. But all in all, it was a success.

We spent a lot of time sitting on grass. Yep! Sorry this post is so boring. Ha ha.
